BOOK ORDERS ARE DUE TOMORROW OCTOBER 10!!

The students are continuing on with their work with place value in math.  The students are becoming flexible mathematical thinkers with a strong understanding of the value of numbers in the place they occupy.  This will support them when they move into addition and subtraction of 3 and 4 digit numbers.  If you are looking to support your children at home, here are some great place value links/games:

 After harvesting wolf willow berries and inquiring into the plant, we have begun to take the berry apart and found beautiful seeds inside.  We have been exploring with some students during Ignite to find the best way to soften the seed in order to get a hole through the seed so we can string the beads onto thread.  The students have discussed many ways we can use these seeds.
