Year End Celebration

Parents: Today is the deadline to submit your choices for the year end celebration.  Mrs. Coulson will be sending everyone who has submitted a choice, an email with information on how to proceed with your specific task.  Look for that email coming next week with more information! The choices are below.

Dear Parents and Guardians of Eric Harvie School Students:

With the end of the school year fast approaching, the staff understand how special and exciting this time is for all students.  Even though we are apart we don’t want this year to be any different! We would still like to celebrate the amazing achievements of our incredible students and all of the work being done. We appreciate all of the support that you have given us through this ever-changing time.

We have gathered a few ideas as to how we might celebrate with everyone, and we would love to have some input from each of the students as part of our year end celebration.  Our top 5 options are share below, and we would appreciate if parents would read through the options and pick one that best suits your student.  After you have chosen an option, please email Jennele Coulson at jabaine@cbe.ab.ca with your top choice and you will receive an email back with further information.  Please email Mrs. Coulson NO LATER Than Friday, May 29th.  The last email account wasn’t receiving emails so we have extended the deadline.

Options:

1.    Participate in a Google Meet that WILL BE filmed and recorded for a slideshow.  The Meet will be short and will ask your student a question about the year and/or their learning.
2.    Secretly film your student working at their workspace that they have set up at home.  We would like this to be as real as possible (not staged). This will also be part of a slideshow.
3.    Send in a cool photo/video from the school year
4.    Receive a picture for your child to colour that will be animated and added to the slideshow. (this is a great option if you do not want your child to appear on the video)
5.    Choose not to participate. (This is totally fine, no pressure)

ALL FILMING IS TO BE DONE IN LANDSCAPE please.

Thank you so much!

Eric Harvie School Staff

Yearbook Request for Grade 4s

Hello EHS grade fours!
We cannot believe your time at Eric Harvie is winding down in such a strange way. You sure have become experts at adapting and handling new challenges. The yearbook committee is working hard to capture the best moments from this school year for you but we need your help. We're planning a different kind of Grade 4 photo page and we want you to take the photos!

Here's the plan:
Think of a word that expresses how you feel about your time at EHS or how you feel about moving forward to TMC. (Please be mindful here; only use words you would say at school or to Mom/Dad/Grandma/Grandpa.)
Take a picture of yourself holding that word (written any way you like). Do your best to get good lighting; we want to see your face and be able to read your word.
Email your picture to ehscouncilyearbook@gmail.com by May 31.

That's it! We cannot wait to see your faces. The following examples were emailed to each of your gmail (@educbe.ca) accounts.

Physical Education & Music

Please NOTE: These are OPTIONAL activities. There is NO expectation that students do all activities everyday. Please just pick and choose what interests you on days that might work for you!
