The Joy Pod has posted our 1st learning intention in PowerSchool.  You can locate the learning intention under "assignments, mathematics, info".  We will be posting the follow up assessment to that learning intention on November 1st along with a new Literacy one.  If you require further information please see this link: https://cbe.ab.ca/support/Documents/MyCBE-K-9-Reporting-Information.pdf or email one of the Joy Pod teachers.

We have continued our work on Subtraction strategies and are working through how to use mental math and a wide range of strategies to identify the most efficient strategy.

In extending our learning after our highly informational trip to Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump, the students reflected on the how the buffalo jump was carried out from the pre-planning before, during and after.  We are working on doing a collaborative, whole pod recreation of the buffalo jump.  The teachers were amazed at the number of details the students could recall about the process.

Today was "Take Me Outside Day" and Mr. Der braved the wind and cold with the students for Physical Education today.
