For Daily 5 we worked on Read to Self and building stamina as well as choosing a good place to read where students will be free from distraction.
In math today, the students looked at the flower photos they took from the coulee. They were asked to inquire into where they see math in the photo. We brainstormed what math is and the students reflected in their journals about the math that they found in the photos.
