Happy Friday.  It sure is a cold one!

Thank you to all of the students who have participated in the Reading Across Canada challenge.  A big thank you also goes out to Mr. Kai and Mrs. Bowles for all of your work on this event.  You can continue to add to the reading log this weekend to see how far north we can get!

The Joy Pod continued working with non-fiction text.  We have identified and explored many non-fiction text features and are now practicing using 4 specific reading strategies (predicting, clarifying, summarizing and questioning) while reading non-fiction text specifically.

Our literacy learning intention for March will be posted on Powerschool by Monday.  Please review this with your child to see how they are progressing with non-fiction text.

This morning we also spent some time working in our math groups reviewing multiplication and division and putting our learning and understanding into action through repetition and application.
